Birthday Banner and a WINNER!!!

One of my friends' daughter is turning one soon and as she was planning the party she found this cute banner.  However the price tag was a bit more than she wanted to spend so she called and ask if I could do it for less.  OF COURSE I CAN!!!  :)

So, I picked out papers and ribbons, borrowed my sister-in-law's Cricut and whipped up this cute little thing (except it's NOT very little!  lol)

Sorry the pictures are so...dreary.  I'm tired of this weather.  It's got me in a weird funk and everything looks dirty!!!

Now, the part I know you were all waiting for....the winner of the $10 gift certificate for Color Me Daisy was.....

MARA!!!!

(e-mail me or leave your e-mail in the comments and I'll get you your prize girl!  :)

Celebrate: Home Decor

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this month's kit at Color Me Daisy called Celebrate (which is sadly sold out!) They do still have some great add ons left though!

Anyway, one of the projects I've been wanting to do is make a wreath for our front door. I found this grape vine wreath at WM for a whopping $3.17!!

I just LOVE the way this turned out...and it's the first thing with all five of our names on it!!!
*sigh* I love things with all of us together...even if it's just our names!

Prima Goodness +

Just popping in quickly to share some of my April projects with the Scrap-tastic kit (it should be up in the next day or two) it is sooo full of beautiful new Prima goodness!!! I can't wait to find some more time to play more!
This frame I altered and hung up in our living room. The verses on it ( you can click the image to read all of them) are from Psalm 127 and talk about God being the builder of our home and children being a blessing. :)
Stay tuned for more!

Yeah for...

Scrappity goodness!!!! I got my first kit from Scrap-tastic and it's wonderful! Full of all things lovely! The Urban Swank Kit is available here.

So here's one LO I did...isn't all this stuff yummy?!?! I've also used my Inque Boutique Boutique Grunge lace stamps..LOVING those things lately!!! Oh, and I don't have the Threading Water punch...I made scallops using my corner rounder and then punched holes in the scallops! (this picture of Kessa is from September 07)

And a custom journal I made for a BabyFishDesigns customer. When I saw this Basic Grey paper I knew it would be perfect for this! I love the way the tail wraps around the journal.

And if it's Saturday night and you're reading this don't forget to set your clocks back!!!

Going Green?

What do you do with your extra chipboard after you've used whatever it's holding together? I decided to put the whole "recycle reduce reuse" campaign into action and made this cute photo collage with the frame from a SU On Board Lots of Letters set. I hadn't already used the "J" so I decided to leave it in (for our last name.) I spray painted the chipboard white then inked the edges a bit with SU Close to Cocoa and also did some stamping on it. I used the numbers from the Pink Paislee Vintage Moon stamp set, and also the frame and "thankful" stamp. The papers are all just scraps that were sitting in the scrap box...this is a GREAT way to use up those tiny pieces of PP that you just can't bring yourself to throw away. Finally I added the flower, some buttons and ribbons and called it done. It was a very quick project and I love the way it turned out!

On a side note...I appologize for being AWOL from the blog-o-sphere for so long. I've been busy creating, but not blogging about it. I plan to get back on track and keep up again though, so hopefully you'll still be checking in!!! Oh, and keeps your eyes peeled for a fun som'in some'in in the near future. :)

Scrappy Stuff + Littles

Just a LO and altered canvas I did recently. I've got some great pics of Zeke lately that I'm having a ton of fun scrapping! :)

I made this for our front door. The picture is attached with repositionable tape so I can change it out whenever I get a hankerin' to. (hehehe....I don't know why, but I've had a hankerin' to use the word hankerin lately!)
LO I did using the Scrapdango October kit from Scrap within Reach. I LOVE this line!!! yummy!!! And are these not the cutest pictures of Zekiel playing at the park?!?! Love them!
And have I mentioned lately to have these AMAZING kids in my life?!?!
They crack me up and teach me all day everyday! :)

Scrappy Time

Just realized I hadn't put some of these up so I thought I'd post some stuff I've done lately. Everything but the Christmas cards are using mostly items from this month's Addicted Scrappers kit. (it was full of Pink Paislee goodness!!!)

Quick Crafty Time

Just thought I'd pop in and share some things I've been working on lately. These are all availible in my Etsy store, BabyFish Designs. Feel free to e-mail me (iact2@hotmail.com) convo me on Etsy or just leave me a comment here if you're interested in a custom order. I love making things special for people! :)
I love how this notebook turned out. It's simple, but still very homey and cute (IMHO! lol) I'm really falling in love with chunky hand stitching!
And these cards just crack me up! Perfect for that little boy (or girl!) who's always pushing the limits.

Crafty Post

Just popping in to share some crafty stuff! I'm feeling slightly under the weather so this is going to be short and sweet. Don't forget to send all your friends by to register for the blog candy! Make sure they leave a comment on this post.
This cute little guy is now up in my Etsy shop! Check him out here. He is also available for personalization!
These are the letters Kessa's had in her room forever after I altered them. I used the July Sunshine and Popsicles kit from Addicted Scrapper for most of it. Also note that I'll be getting a tutorial up in the near future for these.
And finally a VERY simply LO I did for a scraplift challenge over at Splitcoast. Ok, I'm off to feed the baby and get some sleep. Night ladies!

One More Crop Project and a Lesson from Acts

I'm not positive, but I think this is the last project I have to share with you all from the on-line crop I participated in a few weekends ago. This is just a simple little chipboard heart. I think I'm going to add wire or string to the back so that it can be hung up. On a funny note, when I was making this it called for wire to make the little curls coming out of the flower and I couldn't find any...however...one of Tim's guitars was sitting in the office...with a broken string hanging from it...so...talk about using "found" objects! So...all the "wire" you see here is a guitar string (which I don't recommend using as it doesn't hold shape very well!) However, I'm not musically savvy so I can't tell you WHICH string it is (sorry Kirsten!)credits: Scenic Route chipboard heart frame, SU felt flowers, unknown definition sticker, Daisy D pp, button from stash, and guitar string ;)

I'm doing this study of Acts right now for the second time, and I'm learning a lot this time around too! What I want to share with you right now is what struck me this time around about Stephen. We're told over and over again that Stephen was "full of the Holy Spirit" and that he spoke with great wisdom and that he was full of grace. He performed signs and miracles and many people believed because of his testimony. He was taken before the Council, false witnesses were brought against him, and he was stoned. Stephen was the first martyr recorded in the Bible, he saw heaven open and Jesus sitting at the right hand of God. All of these things happened while he was fulfilling the duty he had been called to...to serve tables. Remember that as you go about the duties God has called you to today, as you serve your family.

Altered Altoid Tin

Ok, I'm WAY tired, I've been feeling really sick and not sleeping well lately, so I'm just going to upload the pics of this and a very brief description. If anyone cares I might actually come back and do a more detailed description later. :)
This is a view of the inside of the tin when you open it. All the pp I used is by Wild Asperagus. I stamped a SU So Many Sayings stamp on the outside and embossed it and doodled around the edges. There is a TON of doodling in this, I just have to say, I only discovered it recently and I'm addicted!
The album has a little "story" that runs through it. What you see above says, Love...makes things a little blurry. (because everything in the bg of the second picture is all blurry, but we are in focus.) Then page 3 says, you make me HAPPY because..(moving on to page 4) 1. I am still your PUNK rock Princess. (Very good song for those of you who don't know!) page5 & 6 say, 2. So far,( and we've only seen one..) You and I make SIMPLY ADORABLE midgets!
Finally, you flip the whole book over and it says 3. You know how to listen and how to get me to talk! 4. Even with kids...u r still my Garage Band King (more of that great song! ;) and last but not least, 5. You are a WONDERFUL daddy!!!!

On a different note, today was the first day of Christmas for us and I got some cool new toys I'll tell you all about in the near future! TTFN!
