Lil' Dickies Girl
It's finally here! This was the 2nd thing I made once I realized I could sew. I LOVED this Dickies shirt I have had forever but it had a hole it so I couldn't wear it anymore. After making Zeke's shirt I decided I'd use this for a shirt for Grace...and then I decided why not add a skirt and make it a "dress"? Again I started with Dana's 90 Minute shirt tutorial and then just added some strips of different materials for the skirt.
I used one of the sleeves of the shirt for the back bottom of the ruffle...
Seriously, it doesn't get much cuter than that does it?!?!

And I totally knew we were kindred spirits, but this cinches it. I mean, come on- a Dickies shirt? Awesome, pure awesome.
Adorable! You are a whiz at repurposing those T shirts!
That is so cute (and so is the model). You are inspiring me to give this a try.
