It's Over!!!!!!!

Wow. So the Last Serendipity Scrapper Standing is finally over. (although I'm pretty sure that none of us in the top 5 were actually STANDING when it was all over! lol...we all kinda crawled or dragged ourselves across the finish line in the wee small hours of the morning! lol)

It was a TON of fun and I've totally fallen in love with Serendipity Scrapbooks. They've got a ton of fun stuff going on and a great board full of amazing DT girls and members. I completed an AMAZING 82 LOs since the contest began (a month ago.) and the most amazing part is MOST (not all, but most) of them I really love!!!

Our last challenge was to create our own kit and then make as many LOs using JUST our kit as possible (there were very specific requirements for the kit of course!)

Here's my kit:

And a couple LOs I did using it. (I did 11 total)

My Little Man

Hey everyone! I'm just sitting here enjoying some watermelon before I head to bed (yes it IS only 9:30...so what?! heheh!)

The current challenge in the Last Serendipity Scrapper Standing contest is a Monochromatic one. We can only use one color but we can add white and/or black to the LOs.

As I was digging through stuff trying to find papers that didn't have more than one color in them I stumbled upon my pack of scraps from Cosmo Cricket's Get Happy line. I swear...this might be one of my favorite lines EVER EVER EVER!!!! There really are only tiny scraps left in the bag but I just can't bring myself to throw them away...so this challenge gave me a good opportunity to use some of them!
*sigh* It's full of bright, grungy, distressed colors and patterns that just make my heart skip a beat!

Anyway...here are two of the LOs I did using up scraps from it. (these pictures are older ones of my little man...but he was a cutie even then! hehehe!)
I just love the look on his face in this one! You can just tell he's wondering what he can get into. The strips behind the No. 1 are actually packaging from a set of Jenni Bowlin pearl flowers! :) Gotta love using everything. This one I dry brushed the black and then also added a VERY thin line of black paint around the edge of the whole LO. Zeke was 9 months old in this one. I used corrugated cardboard to stamp my "notepaper."

Ok, well I'm done with my watermelon and I guess I'll be off to bed. Night alL!

Sneek Peek

Just a little teaser about my Week 7 lo.

Tomorrow mornin' if you wake up, and the sun does not appear
I...I
will be here

Hold my hand and have no fear, 'cause I...I will be here

When you feel like bein'
quiet, When you need to speak your mind
I will listen, and I will be here

When the laughter turns to cryin', through the winnin' and losin' and tryin'
We'll be together, 'cause I will be here

Tomorrow mornin' if you wake up, and the future is unclear
I...I'll be here

I will be here
....
You can cry on my shoulder

And I will be here
To watch you grow in
beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me

I will be here

I will be true, to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me

I will be here

Popcorn and a LO

So, I LOVE popcorn. I might even say popcorn is my favorite snack food...but not just ANY popcorn. Not this:

or this:
but THIS: There is nothing quite like hot, fresh, lightly salted, stove-popped popcorn. Ahhhh....its wonderful! (on a side-note, did you notice the top picture is Spanish?!?! Too funny.)

So, here is that lo I promised the other day. This was the first lo I did for last week's challenge at Addicted Scrappers, and then I ended up using You & Me instead.

The Waiting Game...

Well folks...that's it. That's my layout for this week's challenge on the Last Scrapper Standing. It was a scraplift. I'm happyish with this page even though it sooo much simpler than my work normally is. Tim is in love with it though so I guess that's why I stopped messing with it. lol. You should go check out the gallery of AMAZING work for this week's contest here. I'm sure glad I'm not judging. I'm not so sure I'll be moving on this week, but I'm crossing my fingers! lol. I guess that's about it for today. I'll upload the first lo I did for this challenge (and decided not to use) tomorrow.
